Mother's Day was a little hectic, but thankfully, KCK did most of the work. He got up early and mowed the front lawn, took GMK to her swimming class, and then made most of the lunch for our 8-person extended family. He made beef tenderloin in a cabernet reduction over mushroom & chicken risotto.... all from scratch! We were all very impressed. I just made a salad- a very yummy salmon nicoise salad with homemade balsamic dressing. And then we all ate a ton of dessert. We got to fully break in our new kitchen table, which was nice. Normally, it looks kinda sad with just the 2 of us eating on one corner.
