Gee-Ya!

Gee-Ya is what her karate class shouts when they do their kicks and punches. Not the stereotypical "Hi Ya!"
Is it just me or does it shock you to learn that my four-yr-old kicked and broke a wood board in her first karate class? KCK seemed to think it was no big deal... I was imagining plywood because he said the wood was "bendy," but it seems pretty sturdy to me. Here's a re-creation of the scenario. (She saved the board she broke and brought it home.)

Whoa Nelly! That's awesome! And even if it were balsa wood, that's pretty great for G's karate-esteem. I love her HUGE grin in the 2nd pic.

Whoa! Really. That's pretty impressive indeed. Goodness, that tiny baby we saw at BI is already grown and karate-kicking boards...
