Organized Chaos

We were in our town's Homecoming parade last weekend. After living here for 4-plus years, we finally went to the parade and town block party this year. The MOMs club in our town participates in the parade every year and we were strong-armed into it by a friend. There were floats, clowns, horses, dancers and marching bands... the works! GMK enjoyed it alot- except for the clowns, who were behind us in the parade playing instruments and enroaching on our space. I think they even made some kids cry. AJK had a balloon tied to her stroller, so she was a happy clam... oh, and she got a lollipop so was occupied for most of the time. I was impressed at how "not crazy" it was. I think that's why I never went, even though we live within walking distance to our town center. Even still, it was a bit chaotic trying to "march" in a parade with strollers and wagons while having kids throw out candy to the crowds. Lets just say we weren't the most organized group. But it was fun!
