Yesterday, part of our heating system decided to break down. That translates to an awful grinding noise- like someone is clearing snow off a driveway with a big plow- all throughout our house. And no heat upstairs. As I type, I'm waiting for the plumber to come by to fix it. But in the mean time, GMK is freaking out over the noise. She says that it's scary and screams every time she hears it (once every minute.)
To make it less scary, daddy came home and said, "It sounds like daddy's tooties!" That worked for about an hour or so, but then she decided that daddy's gas wasn't nearly as scary as this sound. I beg to differ. Anyway, she slept with earplugs in for half the night, and then when they fell out she crawled into bed with us. This morning she woke up and started roaring like a lion and said, "Sounds like a lion!" Unfortunately, she decided that lion noises are scary, too. We spent the morning out of the house, but now that we're waiting for the plumber, the TV is on with the volume cranked up to mask the awful sound.
Oh, the plumber's here! GMK is literally jumping up and down for joy!

aw! Poor GMK!! Just like KCK to make light of the situation. lol hope it gets fixed fast and at a minimal cost. :)
agreed. KCK's tooties are much scarier. although you ain't heard/smelled nothin' until you've experienced SK's... poor G! i heard her screaming while on the phone. i assumed it was a one time thing.
i'm sure you are too. wow, glad that i don't know the scary state of kck's tooties. hope it's all fixed now, and GMK can stop from screaming. poor girl. poor mama. oi~
Funny how things tend to break down when you need it the most. Hope the plummer fixes the scary sounds!
Hm, we have probably the same daddy tooty (that's singular :)) problems in our household. Ugh, heating and plumbing problems...been there. The scariest part is the bill. I feel bad for G though. Sounds like she was a trooper trying to find non-scary things to compare to the awful noises!
