Happy 1st Birthday to my beautiful 2nd child! She is usually attention-deprived and lets out high-pitched screams at regular intervals to make her presence known. However, there was none of that this past weekend as she was the absolute center of attention. She loved every minute of it! My parents and sister were in town to help celebrate her "dol" and dote on her. And last night, we had a little shindig of mostly family.
AJK is a very laid back girl unless she's angry. She doesn't have separation anxiety because in childcare situations (like when I go to the gym) it usually means she's getting more attention than at home. She's starting to really move around on her own. Her latest trick is pulling herself up to stand next to the snack cabinet in the kitchen. She then proceeds to open the cabinet and help herself to a snack. Her favorite person is her big sis, but she gives anyone she recognizes an enthusiastic welcome. This usually entails some bouncing up and down on her bum while saying, "oooo! oooo! oooo!" and slapping the ground repeatedly with her hands.
She's a great baby and I'm proud to be her mom!

it's actually a bell pepper. she was munching on it. but, yes, she did pick a pen for her dol-jabi. she's going to be a writer!
